When you are new to hypnosis, you are bound to have questions. Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.
1. What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?
Hypnosis feels different to different people and at different stages of your hypnotherapy journey. Some people describe it as a bit like feeling dizzy or the same as when you’ve had a bit too much alcohol; some feel as though their limbs have become heavy and others notice no difference at all.
Clients frequently say that after a few sessions, they instantly feel like a door is being opened and their ideas and visualisations are enhanced.
2. Can Anyone be Hypnotised?
Yes and No! You have to want to be hypnotised and choose to follow the instructions. If you don't want to or are resistant at first, then you won't be hypnotised. Some people need a bit longer than others to accept the process. Like a lot of things, it becomes easier with practice.
3. Is Hypnosis Safe?
Yes, you are always in control. Through hypnosis you are guided to access your unconscious mind in a calm and relaxed way that enables you to visualise ideas and solutions that you don't access using only your conscious mind.
